Designed for a ‘caravan park’ near Cultus Lake, B.C., the swimming pool and change-room facility are a focal point for the park. The program for the building is very simple, consisting of change-room facilities and mechanical support. These are distributed along a very narrow building and separated by a ‘peek-through’ opening which allows passersby to glimpse the pool activity. The building is capped with a large ‘butterfly’ roof reflecting both the surrounding hills and the dynamic activity of the swimming centre.
