This tiny (600 square foot) house was built in 1987 as a ‘grandparents getaway’ when the owners’ gave over the original 1906 log house to their children and grandchildren. The open plan, under a hipped pyramidal roof revolves around the central light-well and dining area. While the bedroom is unenclosed, privacy is provided through the introduction of a change in levels and a low wall separating the spaces. The vaulted cedar ceilings give the impression of a much larger home.
